Monsanto Chemical: Buys Government, Scares Press, and Sells Out Public!

Where is the hue and cry from all the government agencies that "protect" us, or from the so-called independent press, that supposedly is "looking out" for us.  Monsanto (previously Monsanto Chemical) - the folks that brought us the unforgettable Agent Orange, among others - like the relatively innocuous Roundup weed killer.  However, what happens when you start manipulating the market to eliminate the competition?  How do they do that?

First you start by genetically modifying produce - like corn, soybeans, or wheat - to make them resistant to Roundup and similar products.  Next you back-engineer one of your other products - like fertilizer - to include Roundup in it.  Something like Monsanto's "Asgrow Roundup Ready" or "Roundup Ready 2 Yield Soybeans."  From the Monsanto website: "This is a new proprietary seed treatment from Monsanto which will be commercialized in conjunction with the launch of Asgrow Roundup Ready 2 Yield Soybeans."  Monsanto offers "Simple, flexible and dependable weed control you expect from the Roundup Ready system.", and "Powerful genetic trait combinations created through our advanced breeding process deliver higher yield potential than other brands."  Yes, ladies and gentlemen, what we're talking about is Frankenfood!  And it's not just soybeans ... Monsanto has genetically modified corn, wheat, and God only knows what else to resist Roundup.  Can you see where this is going?  Modify the seeds to resist a weed poison, then include the poison in either the pod or the fertilizer, to kill those pesky weeds.  So far, so good!

But, there's an unanswered question here too - How does the Roundup not get absorbed into the produce it's protecting from weeds?  It doesn't!  We are unknowingly and trustingly ingesting toxic materials with almost every item we are being sold as food!  Have you eaten a nice steak, or enjoyed a good hamburger recently?  If so, then you should familiarize yourself with the acronym BGH - Bovine Growth Hormone.  Have you wondered why your 10 year old daughter is sprouting breasts already?  There's your answer - BGH!  Monsanto's Bovine somatotropin (abbreviated bST and BST) is also called bovine growth hormone, or BGH.  BST can be produced synthetically, using recombinant DNA technology. The resulting product is called recombinant bovine somatotropin (rBST), recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH), or artificial growth hormone. It is administered to the cow by injection and used to increase milk production. Currently Monsanto is the only company that markets recombinant bovine somatotropin, under the trade name Posilac.  According to Monsanto, approximately one-third of dairy cattle in the U.S. are treated with Posilac; approximately 8,000 dairy producers use the product. It is now the top-selling dairy cattle pharmaceutical product in the U.S.  Use of the recombinant supplement has been controversial. While it is used in the United States (though not without reaction), it is banned in Canada, parts of the European Union, Australia and New Zealand.  Is there a reason for this ban?  Are they perhaps more concerned with the welfare of their citizens, than our government is for OUR personal well-being?

Monsanto's lawyers scared Fox television affiliate, WTVT/Fox-13 in Tampa, Florida so badly, the station manager fired two staff members who had done an investigative reporting piece after they refused to modify the story to appease Monsanto.

Monsanto is running roughshod over our citizenry in their (thus-far successful) attempt to bribe, intimidate, threaten and otherwise leverage those who would question the negative human health factors of Monsanto-produced  Frankenfoods.  Our complacency as a nation will be our undoing.  I could be wrong ... but, I'm NOT!

Americans drop dead as police get Taser-happy

There's a lot of whining going on now over the use of Tasers by law enforcement agencies in this country. The largest and best known of the whiners is the ultra-left Amnesty International.
An Amnesty International report titled "USA: Less than lethal?" records 334 people have died after being stunned by Tasers in the U.S. between 2001 and August 2008, including 55 in California and 52 in Florida. What it does not say is how many times the Taser was brought into action. If it was only used 334 times then it is undoubtedly a deadly weapon. If it was used 33,400 times then the accidental death rate is 1%.

Regardless of the number of times Tasers were used to control a critical situation, it is far less deadly than a bullet penetrating flesh, bone and organs. Death is a relative certainty when a firearm is used. The purpose of a policeman's firearm is to cause disabling injyry or death, and is only used in the most dire of circumstances. A misplaced blow from an impact weapon, such as the police baton, can easily result in serious injury or death.

Of the defensive arsenal available to law enforcement agencies, the Taser - when properly applied - is the least likely to cause lasting or terminal injuries. Tasers incapacitate by sending high voltage through wires into the subject's body. Voltage is not a killer - amperage is the electrical unit that kills, and Tasers are low amperage units.

Somebody, somewhere, will probably die if you throw chocolate ice cream on them! It is unfortunate when a life is lost to a Taser strike, but stuff happens. How many lives have been saved because the police weren't forced to SHOOT the person? Think about that! Amnesty International should mind their own business. I could be wrong ........ but I'm not!

AND WHERE'S THE SURPRISE IN THIS?

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D), is in hot water over attempting to sell President-elect Barack Hussein Obama's senate seat to the highest bidder. Is this really a surprise to anybody? Blagojevich is a product of the same corrupt political machine as Obama.

The most straightforward way to measure corruption is to check the number of convicted local officials. Between 1995 and 2004, 469 politicians from the federal district of Northern Illinois were found guilty of corruption. Former Illinois Gov. George Ryan received a sentence of six and a half years in prison, after being convicted on charges of racketeering, mail fraud, filing false tax returns, and lying to investigators. The Chicago Sun-Times reports that in the last three decades, at least 79 local elected officials have been convicted of a crime, including three governors, one mayor, and a whopping 27 aldermen from the Windy City.

Illinois political corruption of of a magnitude not seen since the days of New York City's Tammany Hall. For those of you unfamiliar with Tammany Hall, an offshoot of the Tammany Society, in 1830 Tammany Hall became the city affiliate of the Democratic Party, controlling most of the New York City elections afterward. From about 1830-1834 the Loco-Focos comprised a democratic, anti-monopoly faction that appealed to workingmen. Throughout the 1830s and 1840s the Society expanded its political control even further by earning the loyalty of the city's ever-expanding immigrant community, which functioned as a base of political capital. The Tammany Hall "ward boss" served as the local vote gatherer and provider of patronage. New York City used the designation "ward" for its smallest political units from 1686–1938. Tammany is forever linked with the rise of the Irish in American politics.

Beginning in late 1845, millions of Irish Catholics began arriving in New York. Equipped with a knowledge of English, very tight loyalties, a proclivity for politics, and what critics said was a propensity to use violence to control the polls, the Irish quickly dominated Tammany. In exchange for votes, they were provided with money and food.

By 1854, Tammany's lineage and support from immigrants had made it a powerful force in New York politics. Tammany controlled businesses, politics and sometimes law enforcement. Businesses would give gifts to their workers and, in exchange, tell the workers to vote for the politicians that were supported by Tammany (usually a straight Democratic ticket). In 1854, the Society elected its first New York City mayor. Tammany's "bosses" (called the "Grand Sachem") and their supporters enriched themselves by illegal means. The most infamous boss of all was William M. "Boss" Tweed, whose control over the Tammany Hall machine allowed him to win election to the New York State Senate. His political career ended when he was sent to prison along with his partner Francis I.A. Boole, after his ousting at the hands of a reform movement led by New York's Democratic governor Samuel J. Tilden in 1872. From 1872 onward, Tammany had an Irish "boss." They played an increasingly important role in state politics, supporting one candidate and feuding with another. The greatest success came in 1928 when a Tammany hero, New York Governor Al Smith, won the Democratic presidential nomination.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt helped Republican Fiorello La Guardia become mayor on a Fusion ticket, thus removing even more patronage from Tammany's control. La Guardia was elected in 1933 and re-elected in 1937 and 1941. He was the first anti-Tammany Mayor to be re-elected and his extended tenure weakened Tammany in a way that previous "reform" Mayors had not. Tammany depended for its power on government contracts, jobs, patronage, corruption, and ultimately the ability of its leaders to swing the popular vote. The last element weakened after 1940 with the decline of relief programs like WPA and CCC that Tammany used to gain and hold supporters.

Although lacking the public notoriety of Tammany Hall, the relatively low-key Illinois political machine is equally corrupt. How do such things happen in a supposedly free democratic republic? People are easily misinformed through the use of political "smoke and mirrors", and misdirected by political sleight of hand. Who is to blame? Those people who are impressed by empty words, awestruck by political theatrics, and foolish enough to believe what they see and hear in our equally corrupt print and broadcast media.

OJ Gets His Day In Court - Wins Free Room And Board!

There is a word for the results of the recent Las Vegas trial of OJ Simpson - can you say KARMA? Although he was found "not guilty" of the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in 1994, over 80% of Americans polled believe him guilty of the crimes. A "not guilty" verdict is not the same as him being found innocent - it simply means the state's case was not convincing enough for the jury to find him guilty. But, I believe that the real reason OJ walked out of that Los Angeles courtroom a free man was because:

1. The State of California, and specifically the County of Los Angeles, could see major race riots on the horizon if this black sports-hero/success story/actor/role model (a relative rarity at that time) was convicted. The black community would see such a conviction as another attempt by "Whitey" to "keep the black man down". How sad is that? It is sad from the standpoint that, regardless of the truth of the matter, such feelings among blacks could easily be justified - and understandable - based upon black history in our country.

2. The State of California's case was weak because the State wanted it to be weak based on the above. Administrative procedures and protocols were violated by both the LAPD and the District Attorney's Office. Significant evidence at the crime scene was either mishandled or ignored as irrelevant, as was evidence at the Brentwood home of OJ. Either of these conditions, when brought to the attention of Judge Lance Ito's court, would have created a crippling blow to the State's case. And, at the same time, justified a "not guilty" verdict for technical reasons. Then there was defense lawyer Johnny Cochran's side show of OJ trying to put a glove on over a glove. That's much like trying to slip a shoe over a shoe!

There's no doubt in my mind that OJ will not serve the minimum of his 16-to-life sentence. He'll be out of prison in 3-4 years, and justice still will not have been served upon him.

But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong .......... but, I'm not!

When Will The World Unanimously Say "ENOUGH!"

Islamic terrorists have now endeared themselves to yet another nation - India. The Indian government responded quickly and decisively, yet exercised reasonable caution to protect the hostages entrapped in the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai. People from around the world were lodged at the "Taj", concentrating on enjoying vacations and holidays, conducting international trade meetings, and visiting relatives ... in a nutshell, they were just being. They bothered nobody, but were brutally and indiscriminately murdered by this group of well-trained, well-organized, and well-armed lunatic Muslim fanatics. Apparently the world of Islam has initiated a philosophy of "conversion through fear, intimidation, and mindless wholesale slaughter".

Sadly, in some cases, it seems to be working for them - specifically France and England. Both countries seem to have all but turned over the government to them, by practicing Political Correctness to the same extreme that the lunatic Muslims practice the enforcement of the Will of Allah! It further appears that we in the USA are the next in line to kowtow to their demands for special recognition, treatment, and accommodation. We've already begun!

The word terrorist is rarely used in media reporting of such activities. Instead, these poor, misunderstood, kill-you-in-a-New York-second, supremely evil bastards are generally referred to using the euphemism "militants". I may be wrong, but my understanding of the term "militant" is that it has historically been applied to citizens/subjects of the country in which they are conducting civil demonstrations. And, yes, I did emphasize the term "civil demonstrations", although frequently these demonstrations are considerably less civil than most people would like. They tend to devolve into acts of civil disobedience and civil disruption - which is when the rock throwing, window smashing, automobile destruction, vandalism and looting begins. But it is extremely rare that these "militants" commence firing automatic weapons and lobbing hand grenades at civilians ... or at anybody else, for that matter!

Terrorists are maniacal cowards, who murder unarmed civilians for no other reason than this - they can. They choose civilians because terrorists lack the courage to face armed opponents. For those of you with a religious bent, terrorists are a manifestation of the legions of Satan. For the rest of you, terrorists are Evil (with a capital E) incarnate - the physical embodiment of all that which can be corrupt and twisted in the mind of a human being.

WHEN WILL THE WORLD - IN UNISON - CRY OUT "ENOUGH!", and tell the masters of these rabid dogs the following:

"If a terrorist can be traced to your country, we will attempt to determine which town he or she came from ... and FLATTEN IT! If we cannot determine his or her point of origin, we will immediately assume it was the capital city ... and FLATTEN IT! If you would not like to see either of these things happen, keep your fanatics inside your own borders.

Automotive Industry Bailout? The UAW Should Bail Out!

We have the UAW to thank for the decreasing revenues of the Big 3 U.S. automakers. Some illiterate Bozo pushing a broom in a Detroit auto plant is making $20+ per hour! Here's a breakdown of actual labor costs per hour at the Big 3, this is for hourly workers only, and does not include extremely overcompensated white-collar salaries -

(Correction to the below information: I have just discovered on Nov 19, 2008 that, since 2006, the average laborer's compensation package for American owned automobile manufacturers has increased to slightly over $81 per hour! Therefore the following figures for the "Big 3" are about 12% low.)


Ford: $70.51 ($141,020 per year)


GM: $73.26 ($146,520 per year)


Chrysler: $75.86 ($151,720 per year)


Toyota, Honda, Nissan (in U.S.): $48.00 ($96,000 per year)

Is it any wonder that American auto manufacturers cannot compete in the open market? They're being strangled by labor costs! That, coupled with the fact that, across the board, Chrysler, Ford and GM produce an inferior product, when compared to the quality and durability of competing Japanese imports.


As credit availability has tightened - to the point that it should always have maintained - consumer spending has slowed to a crawl. As a result, major U.S. automakers have seen their profits fall. Severe adjustments must be made in order to bring this industry back from the brink of extinction.

1. American auto manufacturers must return to the business of building a durable product. It seems that competitors in foreign countries produce products that can last for years with little need for maintenance. Many American made vehicles often have major mechanical problems within the first year or two of usage. In order to remain competitive in an emerging global market, the auto industry must produce vehicles that are more reliable and can attain optimum gas mileage.

2. Our auto industry must not continue to give in to the crushing demands of the auto workers union. A key advantage that foreign auto makers have is they do not have to pay outlandish wages and benefits when they can simply expand or relocate to areas that do not bow to union pressures. Foreign auto makers have consistently surpassed their American counterparts in production and profitability. It is now time that the auto behemoths stand up to the unions and demand their employees work for a fair wage and competitive benefits without jeopardizing the life of the company. How does it profit the unemployed worker to say, "I used to work for Chrysler (or Ford, or GM) when they were in business." Or the underemployed worker to ask, "Would you like fries with that, sir?"

3. They need to control spending at all levels of the corporation. Many auto executives revel in lavish luxury compensation packages, fail-safe "Golden Parachutes," and outlandish bonus incentives. The only people deserving of a Golden Parachute are those who save a failing corporation, not those who failed to save it! This is true for ALL industries, not just automotive.

The average UAW worker with a high school diploma earns 57.6% more total compensation than the average university professor with a PhD (who earns about $93,000 per year), and 52.6% more than the average worker at Toyota, Honda or Nissan.

The true bailout won't come about until the UAW either renegotiates the contracts to a reasonable level of compensation, or the UAW is eliminated as the bargaining entity for those employed within the automotive manufacturing industry.

OPEC Tries Leveraging Non-OPEC Oil Producing Countries!

The following was extracted from a Reuters News Service article dated November 15, 2008 -

"TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran's OPEC governor said on Saturday talks were underway on cooperation between OPEC and producers outside the cartel to reduce oil output, following tumbling crude prices in recent months.

"Now there are negotiations that non-OPEC countries cooperate with OPEC to lower output to some extent because if they don't ... or if they increase output, they have neutralized OPEC's action," Mohammad Ali Khatibi said in an interview broadcast live on Iranian state television."

OPEC's obvious intention is to attempt to further damage a struggling world economy, while OPEC members continue to bathe in money. The question then becomes: How can the United States protect itself from energy banditry by OPEC? OPEC is made up of people who would have no petroleum industry had it not been for western exploration, organization and technology.

Here's a brief history of the development of the petroleum industry as it exists today:

1. Oil drilling began in the U.S.A. in 1859, and wasn't taken to the middle east until 1901 when the first oil concessions were contracted with Persia (now Iran).

2. 1917 - The U.S. produced two-thirds of the world's oil!

3. 1932 - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was created as a sovereign nation, and in 1933 the first oil concessions in Saudi Arabia were granted to Standard Oil of California.

4. 1937 - Oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia and, in 1945 U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and King Abdul Aziz of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, make an agreement whereby military protection of the Kingdom would be provided in exchange for oil supplies.

5. 1948 - Ghawar, the world's largest oil field, discovered in eastern Saudi Arabia.

6. 1950 - Completion of the 1,056 mile long Trans-Arabian Pipeline (TAPline). The Trans-Arabian Pipeline Company, a joint venture by Standard Oil of New Jersey (Esso), Standard Oil of California (Chevron), The Texas Company (Texaco) and Socony-Vacuum Oil Company (Mobil), was a major factor in economic development of Lebanon after independence and especially in the emergence of the south. TAPline was an important industrial adventure in global trade, the petroleum industry and American-Middle East politics.

7. 1953 - United States and Britain staged a coup d'etat against the democratically elected government of Iran's President Mohammed Mossadeq after he nationalized oil resources.

8. 1956 - Renowned Geophysicist, Dr. M. King Hubbert gave a speech outlining "the science of peak oil," in which he predicts US peak in 1970 and world peak in mid-1990s (the latter might have happened if the 1973 oil embargo had not reduced consumption).

9. 1960 - Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) formed.

10. 1961 - Iraq makes effort to seize Kuwait, stopped by British military.

11. 1964 - World oil discovery peaks.

12. 1965 - Middle East oil production exceeds that of the United States.

13. 1968 - Oil is discovered on the Alaska North Slope by British Petroleum Corp (BP).

14. 1969 - Oil is discovered in the North Sea.

15. 1971 - US petroleum production peaks.

16. 1973 - The Saudi oil embargo results in gas lines in the United States. President Richard Nixon and Secretary of State Henry Kissinger secretly contemplate seizing oil fields. The Alaska Pipeline is approved by Congressional vote, thereby exempting it from Federal law.

17. 1974 - Arab oil embargo ends.

18. 1975 - Oil drilling begins in North Sea.

19. 1977 - The Alaska pipeline opens ... President Carter gives a televised speech declaring that the energy crisis is the "moral equivalent of war."

20. 1979 - Gas lines return. On July 15th, 1979 President Jimmy Carter gave the following impassioned speech to America (emphasis added) - "What I have to say to you now about energy is simple and vitally important.
Point one: I am tonight setting a clear goal for the energy policy of the United States. Beginning this moment, this nation will never use more foreign oil than we did in 1977 -- never. From now on, every new addition to our demand for energy will be met from our own production and our own conservation. The generation-long growth in our dependence on foreign oil will be stopped dead in its tracks right now and then reversed as we move through the 1980s, for I am tonight setting the further goal of cutting our dependence on foreign oil by one-half by the end of the next decade -- a saving of over 4-1/2 million barrels of imported oil per day.
Point two: To ensure that we meet these targets, I will use my presidential authority to set import quotas. I'm announcing tonight that for 1979 and 1980, I will forbid the entry into this country of one drop of foreign oil more than these goals allow. These quotas will ensure a reduction in imports even below the ambitious levels we set at the recent Tokyo summit.

21. 1988 - Alaskan pipeline production peaks - hits maximum output at three quarter billion barrels a year

22. 1990 - Iraq invades Kuwait. The United States Central Command is engaged in a war game exercise called "Internal Look" at this time that simulated Iraq invading Kuwait. In mid-August the United States starts sending troops to Saudi Arabia, Operation "Desert Shield" beings.

23. 1991 - Operation Desert Storm - US drives Iraq out of Kuwait, decimates Iraqi infrastructure.

24. 1993 - NAFTA Treaty established, which gives the United States some powers over water and fossil energy resources in Canada and Mexico.

25. 1994 - In March of 1994 Dr. Paul Wolfowitz, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, stated the following:
“The United States and the entire industrialized world have an enormous stake in the security of the Persian Gulf, not primarily in order to save a few dollars per gallon of gasoline but rather because a hostile regime in control of those resources could wreak untold damage on the world’s economy, and could apply that wealth to purposes that would endanger peace globally.” Wolfowitz concludes, “Given this permanent stake in the security of the Persian Gulf, the Gulf War provided an opportunity to base security on a foundation of credible commitment by the United States and its coalition partners.”

26. 2008 - The world sees oil prices top $140 per barrel, and watches as gas pump prices skyrocket.

Okay - I did say a brief history (covering 150 years in 26 points isn't excessive), and that pretty much brings us up to date. Prices have dropped significantly in October-November, but that will change if/when OPEC gets its way. What we need to do in order to protect our interests is to DRILL NOW! However, with the radical left taking control of our government in January of 2009, we undoubtedly will not do anything we need to do to insure our Nation's security - physical-, military-, economic -, or energy-security.

It's Official - White Guilt Is Dead!

Sadly, I cannot take credit for the following opinion piece. I received it via email today, and was so impressed by the originality of the perspective, I felt compelled to share it with you all. I really couldn't find anything out about the author, Tom Adkins, nor could I make contact with him to get his permission to post this - so, all credit goes to him, and any blame should come to me.

WHITE GUILT IS DEAD

Look at my fellow conservatives! There they go, glumly shuffling along, depressed by the election aftermath. Not me. I 'm virtually euphoric. Don 't get me wrong. I'm not thrilled with America's flirtation with neo socialism. But there's a massive silver lining in those magical clouds that lofted Barak Obama to the Presidency. For today, without a shred of intellectually legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America : The Era of White Guilt is over.

This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast majority of white Americans didn't give a fluff about skin color, and enthusiastically pulled the voting lever for a black man. Not just any black man. A very liberal black man who spent his early career race-hustling banks, praying in a racist church for 20 years, and actively worked with America-hating domestic terrorists. Wow! Some resume! Yet they made Barak Obama their leader. Therefore, as of Nov 4th, 2008, white guilt is dead.

For over a century, the millstone of white guilt hung around our necks, retribution for slave-owning predecessors. In the 60s, American liberals began yanking that millstone while sticking a fork in the eye of black Americans, exacerbating the racial divide to extort a socialist solution. But if a black man can become President, exactly what significant barrier is left? The election of Barak Obama absolutely destroys the entire validation of liberal white guilt. The dragon is hereby slain.

So today, I 'm feeling a little 'uppity,' if you will. From this day forward, my tolerance level for having my skin color hustled is now exactly ZERO. And it 's time to clean house. No more Reverend Wright 's "God Damn America ", Al Sharpton's Church of Perpetual Victimization , or Jesse Jackson ' s rainbow racism. Cornell West? You 're a fraud. Go home. All those " black studies " programs that taught kids to hate whitey? You must now thank whitey. And I want that on the final.

Congressional Black Caucus? Irrelevant. Maxine Waters? Shut up. ACORN? Outlawed. Black Panthers? Go home and pet your kitty. Black separatists? Find another nation that offers better dreams. Go ahead. I'm waiting.

Gangsta rappers? Start praising America . Begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. And please; no more Ebonics. Speak English, and who knows where you might end up? Oh, yeah; pull up your pants. Your underwear is showing. You look stupid.

To those Eurosnots who forged entire careers hating America; I'm still waiting for the first black French President.

And let me offer an equal opportunity whupping. I've always despised lazy white people. Now, I can talk smack about lazy black people. You're poor because you quit school, did drugs, had three kids with three different fathers, and refuse to work. So when you plop your Colt 45-swilling, Oprah watchin' butt on the couch and complain "Da Man is keepin' me down." Allow me to inform you: Da Man is now black. You have no excuses.

No more quotas. No more handouts. No more stealing my money because someone's great-great-great-great grandparents suffered actual pain and misery at the hands of people I have no relation to, and personally revile.

It's time to toss that massive, obsolete race-hustle machine upon the heap of the other stupid 60s ideas. Drag it over there by the wife swapping, next to dope-smoking with plenty of room right between free love and cop-killing. Careful, don 't trip on streaking. There ya go, don 't be gentle. Just dump it. Wash your hands. It's filthy.

In fact, Obama's ascension created a gargantuan irony. How can you sell class envy and American unfairness when you and your black wife went to Ivy League schools, got high-paying jobs, became millionaires, bought a mansion, and got elected President? How unfair is that??? Now, Like a delicious O'Henry tale, Obama 's spread-the-wealth campaign rendered itself moot by it's own victory! America is officially a meritocracy. Obama's election has validated American conservatism!

So, listen careful - Wham!!!

That's the sound of my foot kicking the door shut on the era of white guilt. The rites have been muttered, the carcass lowered, dirt shoveled, and tombstone erected. White guilt is dead and buried.

However, despite my glee, there 's apparently one small, rabid bastion of American racism remaining. Black Americans voted 96% for Barak Obama. Hmmm. In a color-blind world, shouldn't that be 50-50? Tonight, every black person should ask forgiveness for their apparent racism and prejudice towards white people. Maybe it 's time to start spreading the guilt around.

Guns, Guts and ... OH MY GOD! He got elected!

Well, the election is over, and so are many of the things I had come to love as a cultural traditionalist. This is not a 'wait and see' condition, it is a given if NObama runs true to his demonstrated character. There will be a left-wing push for a Constitutional Amendment to - or revocation of - the Second Amendment, in spite of the Supreme Court's recent ruling validating the individual citizen's right to keep and bear arms.

The reaction to this possibility has been astounding! In preparation for the expected left-wing modification/elimination of our rights, gun sales have skyrocketed, applications for Concealed Firearms Permits have doubled in some areas of the country, and the availability of ammunition has become sparse in many areas across the country.

Personally, I purchased an extra 200 rounds of 5.56mm ammuntion today, and ordered three 30-round magazines for my Mini-14. This brings me up to 500 rounds and 8 magazines. Then there's my 500 rounds of .45acp, and 10 magazines, and the additional 750 rounds of 9mm, and 8 magazines - altogether about ½ of what I will eventually have on hand. Plus there's about 600 rounds of .22 long rifle ammunition. Oh - and I almost forgot! I also have 150 rounds of 12ga shotgun shells, mixed 00-buckshot and slugs. I'll need to increase that level to 300.

And now, some of you are surely wondering, "What in the hell is this guy going to do with all that ammunition?" Nothing spectacular. I will - undoubtedly - shoot some of it in the near future:
a. to insure that my guns are functioning properly, and
b. to insure that I can consistently hit whatever I may have to aim at in the distant future.

I will neither create another Ruby Ridge, nor will I start my own 'branch' of the Branch Davidians. Homey don't play that. What Homey do play is the oath that he has taken several times during his life ... I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. There's more, but as I see it, the remainder doesn't apply to me, since I am no longer a member of our active duty military, or the National Guard or Reserves - but I am, and always have been, an American citizen. And this is one citizen who takes that oath seriously! Have you noticed that in countries where private gun ownership is severely restricted - or prohibited - that their people are seldom citizens ... but, rather, SUBJECTS?

Utah faces boycott after Mormon work for Prop 8

That's what the headline from the very liberal - and very misleading - Associated Press says. The homosexuals, homosexual bloggers, assorted homosexual supporters, and other proponents of the perverse, now claim that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka the LDS Church, or Mormon Church) should have its tax-exempt status revoked for taking a moral stand against what most people still consider to be a perverse lifestyle (this seems to be particularly true among people with strong religious convictions ... not just "Mormons"). I thought the churches of the world were supposed to be the guardians of morality - not by enforcement, but, rather, by identifcation and encouragement of moral actions! The "secular-progressives" of the world would also like to see the Ten Commandments of God, renamed "the Ten Recommendations" or perhaps "the Ten Suggestions", if not eradicated from the face of the Earth.

I am not a bible thumper, a fact to which anyone who knows me can attest, but I am familiar with the book. If the church had taken a stand for or against a particular candidate for election, I would probably agree with those who think it no longer deserves tax-exempt status. However, they came to be counted on a moral issue that had been put up for public vote, not a candidate. The Church itself had no vote! Individual Church members took individual action and voted their own conscience, based upon not just the teachings of their Church, but upon the scripture in the holy book of all Christian denominations. The word "abomination" is not used lightly, and means a bit more than "I don't like it".

Proud We Elected A Semi-Black Man ...

The citizens of the United States of America elected a man who is black-by-choice President. Not a genuine black man, but close enough to count himself as such. He, and his Democratic handlers, knew that if he held himself up as a white man - or just a man - with no real experience, he would never stand a chance of being elected. So, they played the infamous 'race card' - which was trumped by the black pride card and the white guilt card. The result?

A totally unqualified, inexperienced, and untested man is now the President of the United States of America. May God save us from our own stupidity!

NObama's "October Surprise" - surprising WHOM??

My prediction for NObama's "October Surprise"is this:

1. Joe Biden will withdraw as the Dem's VP nominee, probably citing 'health reasons", thereby enabling
   
2. Hillary Clinton to become the Dem's VP nominee, thereby insuring
   
3. A left-wing, liberal landslide victory for Nobama, et al

The 'King Makers' have made this decision for Nobama, much to his dismay. (I'm certain he remembers the untimely demise of Vince Foster ... right-hand man to the Clinton Administration. And people think that Dr. Jack Kevorkian invented "assisted suicide" ...) This may carry more of a 'surprise' than Nobama planned upon.

And, there goes the mainstay of the 'checks and balances' - we will have a left-wing Democratic President, supported by a left-wing Democratically-controlled Congress, doing all kinds of left-wing, not-particularly-good-for-average-working-class-Americans (how's that for a long hyphenant?) things. Like having the U.S. Border Patrol passing out "Get Out of Jail Free" cards along our southern border, outsourcing your job to Bangalore India, increasing welfare allowances while simultaneously eroding Social Security. The socialist grasshopper will be in the White House (which he will probably rename) redistributing the earnings of all the hardworking ants to all the lazy, socialist grasshopper constituents who put him in office. The sad part is, that WE will have gotten the government we deserved, rather than the government we needed. Smoke and mirrors, mirrors and smoke, elect Obama and watch us go broke.

The pollsters are all showing the upcoming Presidential election to be a close race. McCain gets a few points here, NObama gets a few points there, and overall NObama has - statistically speaking - a few more points in the general election. That brings to mind the old saw "Figures can lie, and liars can figure." But, does that really count for anything when NObama has all the Electoral College votes he needs to become President, regardless of the 'popular vote'? Perhaps we'll find out during the first week of November.

We could be on the brink of the Second American Civil War, depending upon who wins the election, and how the government's actions are perceived by the general population. For several decades the government has been seen as generally unconcerned about the expressed desires of it's citizens. The George Bush administration was a disappointment to many citizens during his first term, and a disappointment - in many respects - to the vast majority during his second term. Gee Dubbya has pretty much made it impossible for any Republican to win the 2008 Presidential Election.

We could also be observing the setting of the stage for the first (provable) Presidential assassination/attempted assassination in 27 years, if NObama gets elected. In a recent Ragnarok Poll, 80% of the people interviewed said they truly expected there would be an attempt on President NObama's life within his first year in office. "Who do would such a dastardly deed?", you ask. Basically it would be the same type of person, who has committed political assassinations since the formation of the first caveman tribal government:

1. Someone desirous of occupying that particular office themself - for example if Hillary Clinton had been named as the VP candidate.
2. Some mentally deranged redneck loner from Bent Fork Arkansas, who picks up his rifle and tells his momma, "Ah'm a'gonna do me sum 'coon hunting!", then shows up in front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. on the evening news. It may even be a personal command from God, during their last chat, that he do so. But, more likely, he got hold of a bad batch of moonshine.
   
3. Some mentally deranged 'patriot' loner who sees his country going to hell in a liberal handcart. He decides it is incumbent upon him to save the country from the ills and pitfalls of socialism. It may even be percieved by him as a personal edict from God that he do so. He picks up his AR-15, and tells his mother, "I'm going to save our country from those left-wing, liberal commies!" This person may possibly achieve 'folk hero' status - as the man who brought REAL CHANGE to our government.

The second and third items above are the primary scenarios for what may happen in the 1st year of Barack NObama's presidency. The only down side would be that Joe "No Balls" Biden would then become the President, and there would be little noticeable change ... at least, until Billy Jim-Bob arrived.

The Pollsters vs. the Polls - Is This Right?

Have you ever wondered if pollsters, conducting pre-election polls, are truly performing a "public service" ... or are they trying to sway the public to vote for a particular candidate? "Candidate X has an 8-point lead over Candidate Y." Does that kind of 'reporting' encourage people who would have voted for "Candidate Y" to rally their family, friends and acquaintances to go to the polls and vote for "Candidate Y" ... or does it make them ask themselves, "Why should I bother to vote if my candidate is that far behind?" It could have either effect ... but, as complacent as Americans are, I think they would, for the most part, choose the latter option. Not voting is like giving two votes to the candidate you don't want to see in office - one of the ones he/she actually got, and the one you didn't cast against him/her - which would effectively cancel out the one he/she got. So, don't be discouraged by statistics - YOU, and only YOU, can change them on election day!
The other thing that concerns me is the "Electoral College". This is a function that has long outlived its intended purpose. It may have been a necessary, and even good, thing in the late 1700's, when information was slow moving, and people in remote, frontier parts of the country may not have been fully informed of the issues and the candidates positions on those issues. Those times are long past though, and we have instantaneous communications in all parts of the country ... for those who care enough to look and/or listen. The Electoral College has overturned the popular vote at least once in my lifetime, in the 2000 Presidential election. It now appears that the Electoral College is poised to do so again! I heard on the news the other day that McCain has 120 EC votes, and Obama has 270 EC votes - there aren't enough undecided EC votes to put McCain in office should he actually win the popular vote!
What's wrong with this picture? Nothing, if your a big fan of socialist government, but PLENTY when the demonstrated will of the people can be overturned by a select few! These few know what's best for all of us ... the majority of us are apparently considered too stupid to know what we're doing in the voting booths, so we just don't count. So, why bother voting?
Because if you don't vote, you have no gripe coming no matter who wins the election, or by what means they win. Elected ... or appointed by the EC ...it makes no difference. If you don't vote, you wind up with exactly what you deserve. VOTE ON NOVEMBER 4TH!!

How to End The Conflict(s) In the Middle East ...

Here's a quick fix for the armed conflicts throughout the Middle East! Build one squadron of 'crop dusters' with oversize spray nozzles. Fill their tanks with liquefied bacon grease, and spray the entire Middle East with it. The Muslim faithful will then have to stay indoors, thereby limiting their ability to engage in combat ... and their ability to eat for an extended period! Eventually they will starve to death - problem resolved.
It works for ME!

Into the Blogosphere We Go ~ Will We Make It Back?

I've been playing with this blog for a couple of months now, using it mainly as a venting tool for my concerns about the upcoming election. There are many other things that concern me in this life, but who is in control of our country is right at the top of my list ... as it should be for ALL Americans!

If the liberals take control, we are doomed to economic failure, political corruption, increased crime, and, from a practical standpoint, the dissolution of our legal system.

If the conservatives take control, we are only going to have to face continued political corruption. This seems like a no-brainer to me!

The truth, as I see it, is this: neither party has fielded an exemplary candidate for the highest elected office in the land. One is totally ignorant of what's really going on in the world, and has a highly questionable affinity for this nation and our culture. The other is unquestionably a patriot, but is not a young man, and has battled cancer 4 times - and he has WON!

But, as I have said before, I'm getting campaign burn-out. It seems to be the only thing on the news these days - Obama this, Mccain that, Palin the other. I'm just sick and tired of hearing about it! Oh yeah, that, and the faltering economy - which is also being used as a political ping -pong ball. The Democratically controlled Congress blames the President and the Republicans, and the Republicans blame the Democrats who control the purse strings of the country. The Blame Game goes on forever ... when will somebody start playing the Fix It Game? The alienation and competitiveness between the two parties, is detrimental to the overall welfare of our country! When will those freeloading, tax-paid morons realize that fact, and act for the good of the people, not just the party?

What has happened since the days when public service of this type was a voluntary thing - when dedicated people entered public service because they wanted to see the country thrive, grow and prosper? It won't do any of those things in a socialist environment. We were not founded as a country of entitlements - which is what we will become if Obama gets elected. The only entitlements here are the entitlement to opportunities and equal treatment. Notice that I said EQUAL ... not 'special'. Yet many groups and individuals think they are entitled to more benefits than those promised to ALL by our Constitution. And, the ACLU is working toward getting them that special 'Protected Class' designation, in conjunction with our liberal, activist federal judges.

These are the same judges who seem to think child molesters and baby rapers are just misunderstood, and they should get minimal sentences ... if ANY! Do they not care for the welfare of our children, or are they just stupid? Those criminals who prey upon children have the highest of all recidivism rates. Why? Because their targets are defenseless and innocent, and the punishment, if caught, is next to nothing! Granted, our prisons are operating at and above maximum capacity, but there are ways to correct that without releasing the worst of all criminals. One way would be to start shuffling prisoners around, creating several 'Super-Max' prisons in remote parts of the country, housing the worst of the worst. Like the desert lands of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, New Mexico, California, or the tundra of Alaska's wilderness - all of which would be located at least 50 miles from the nearest rock! Or - better yet - on islands! Or both! San Quentin could be rehabilitated for use, even if the people sent there couldn't.

Instead of releasing violent and sexual predators, we could release 'white collar' criminals - embezzlers, for example. Pickpockets aren't generally violent, so we could release them ... along with petty thieves, car thieves, tax evaders, etc. Anybody that has committed a crime against property (short of arson and/or incendiary and explosive devices), or non-violent crimes against persons and/or business entities, should be the ones released to make room for those convicted of more serious crimes against the public! We do not need to flood the country with hard-core criminals. We could even empty our prisons death rows, by simply executing those who have been sentenced to die, instead of feeding, clothing, housing, and seeing to their medical needs - for an average of 18 years before the sentence is actually carried out! Give them 3 years to make their appeals, and if they are unsuccessful in that amount of time ... then put out their lights.

That's just the way I see things! I could be wrong ....................................... but, I'm not!

Blacks, whites show prejudices along racial divide - - and this is news because?

I was just reading an Associated Press article on the Internet, bearing the above amazingly un-insightful headline. And, the story beneath the headline was equally un-insightful. But, it was the use of a statistic that caught my eye -

"Four of every 10 white Americans hold at least a partly negative view toward blacks, calling them "lazy," or "violent" or blaming them for the ills of black America, according to the AP-Yahoo poll."

Exactly where is the surprise in that? Chances are that four of every ten Americans hold a least a partly negative view toward their neighbors, regardless of their race. Here's the deal ...

• There is no genetic, inborn dislike of the unlike. Racism, on all sides, is taught by those considered to be authority figures within the family, neighborhood and community. This indoctrination generally begins informally, at an age pre-dating that of understanding, through casual conversations among adults overheard by small children. Wishing to please the adults, the children memorize and practice the litany of hatred which they have heard, hoping for positive recognition.
• It seems to be a part of human nature, at least in many people, to want to look down the social ladder and see somebody beneath them. If there's nobody there, they will - in their own mind - place somebody there. Nobody wants to be on the bottom rung.
• There is resentment for some historical events within all ethnic and racial groups. Some of these events are well-known outside the group primarily affected by it, others are relatively obscure and well-hidden from 'outsiders '. The holocaust, and enslavement of black Africans in post-colonial America, are probably the two best-known. The Turkish war of genocide against the Armenians in 1915-1916, at the cost of 1.5 million Armenian lives, is probably one of the least remembered. The Irish and Italians weren't exactly received with open arms when they immigrated to the USA. But, we tend to forget about those things which happened before most of us were born ... if we ever learned about them in the first place. The whiners get the attention.
• Revisionist history has become a fun subject for our liberal left educational/indoctrination centers to foist upon the innocent young. The basic philosophy there is one of - if you don't like the way things happened in the past, rewrite history the way you would have liked it to have been! The hope there is probably that 'if a thing is ignored long enough, perhaps it will become less noticeable in the future.' If you ignore a scab it will heal more quickly ... but if you ignore a cancer, it may just kill you!
• Most people have had at least one negative social interaction with someone of a different race or ethnicity ... and probably 20 times that many with people of their own race/similar ethnicity, but which do they remember? (That was, of course, a hypothetical question which I shall now answer ...) They remember the one with the member of a different race, because there is something about them that makes it more memorable. It may be the color of their skin ... or the way they talk ... or their manner of dress. Regardless of what it may be, there is something about them that causes us to make a mental generalization about all the others who may resemble that person. That's just another negative aspect of human nature. Here's a surprise for some of you readers -human beings are not perfect, and the vast majority don't even strive for - or desire - perfection. It's easier to go with the flow of one's peers. 'Going with the flow' requires less objective thought, provides less emotional turmoil and less social conflict than taking an oppositional stand. On a slightly more positive note, you remain on good social terms with your peers and reap the rewards of being accepted as one of the like-minded masses.

Almost every race and ethnic group has been on the receiving end of prejudice somewhere and at some point in time. And many - besides people of African descent - have ancestors who were slaves. What would be newsworthy, would be if the media stopped fanning the flames of racial discord with insipid,sophomoric articles such as this one!

There must be some point in time at which we are all ready to put the injustices of the past to rest. Resentment of things that happened to ancestors 150 to 2,500 years ago is ridiculous! Yes, it was a bad deal. But, as the Irish and Italians have done, get on with your life - the one YOU have in the here and now. Living in the past is counterproductive, in that it will not resurrect your ancestors ... it will just keep feeding resentment. And that resentment seems to cross-feed to those you resent - who go merrily about resenting the resenters for their resentment, which only feeds that resentment, etc., etc., ad nauseam.

But, this is just the way I see things. I may be as socially myopic as most people seems to be. I'm not certain that I'm finished with this subject yet, but I'm going to post it anyway. I can always come back and continue it at a later time in a separate post.

DO YOU SUFFER FROM POLITICAL BURN OUT?

Well, I do. As you may have noticed, I am not a fan of Barack NObama. I do not belong to the mindless masses that have deified NObama ... nor do I belong to the legions of well-meaning do-gooders who incorrectly believe that NObama is the answer to the questions that have not been asked of him - or answered by him! NObama is totally devoid of substance - period. End of discussion. He is a 'dream weaver' ... he plays to the emotions of the audience that he is addressing today. What do I like least about NObama? It's a tossup ... it's like asking what one likes least about a root canal. Maybe I should make a list -

1. His apparent lack of serious commitment to the culture and traditions of this country ... the country which he hopes to lead.

2. His racism. "What? A black racist! How can that be?", you ask yourself. You may be surprised to discover that racism is not the sole domain of the well-known Red-Necked WASP. NObama has demonsrated his racism by his own words and actions. He has denied the half of him that is white at every opportunity. He "resented" his white Mother, and refers to his maternal Grandmother - the woman who raised him - as "a typical white person".

After that it becomes a goulash of reasons: poor judgment, as evidenced by those he keeps close and calls friend or mentor; lack of governmental executive experience at any level; no military education or experience whatsoever (and people think he is qualified to be Commander-In-Chief of our military?); a strong affinity toward Islam - the same Islam that is sending terrorists around the world - "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." Barack Obama; etc.

NObama cannot ever deny being a Muslim - he was, and it is public knowledge. The problem is compounded by this ... "there is no dispute among either ancient or modern Moslem scholars that under Islamic law, a murtadd, 'one who turns his back on Islam,' an apostate, must be put to death. Irtidad, apostasy, is committing treason against God, and traitors deserve to be killed." That would certainly create a problem for his achievement of longevity ...

Then there's John McCain ... whose main problem seems to be his longevity. McCain is ... mature ... and probably approaching his "Best if used by:" date. Perhaps he has passed that date already. But, at least McCain has proven his devotion to our country, our culture, and our traditions. Maybe these aren't the highest recommendations to become President, but they beat none, hands down.

I'm not a big fan of McCain, but I see a terrible future for America and Americans under a NObama administration. It really hurts the country when we are forced to choose between for the marginally qualified or the unqualified. Maybe one of the 3rd Party candidates would have been a better offering to our citizens. Sadly, our citizenry lacked the good sense to ignore the offerings of both the Democratic and Republican Party. We will, therefore, always have a "settle-for" Presidency. Russian roulette, anyone?

FreddieMac and FannieMae, Doodah, Doodah ...

Why is it, that corporate CEO's who (mis)manage the corporation for which they are ultimately responsible into bankruptcy or government bailout, always get a multi-million dollar departure gift? This is especially true when the product being managed is MONEY!

Let me see if I can figure this process out ...

1. I have been appointed as the CEO of XYZ Financial Management Group. The "job" pays me $22M simoleans per year.
2. In return for that outrageous sum of money, I am responsible for insuring that the corporate assets are invested in such a fashion that the corporation receives a statistically reasonable return on said investments.
3. I achieve the above by managing the human resources immediately below me in the Corporate Senior Management hierarchy - the Chief Financial Officer; the Chief Operating Officer; the Chief Administrative Officer, etc. - and I am responsible directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors (or I may, in fact, BE him ... in which case I am responsible to the stockholders).
4. I play golf Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, drop by the office about 11:30am, then have a "business lunch" with my corporate cronies at "The Club" from around 1:00pm until ... oh, 2:30-ish. After such a sumptuous meal, a good massage is always in order, and I get back to the office around 4pm and waste the next 15 minutes waiting for my chauffeur to arrive so he can drive me home.
5. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the only change to my routine is that I play racquet ball in the mornings.

As you can plainly see, my job is one of responsibility, as opposed to effort. I get paid for accepting responsibility for those beneath me, who have a more realistic level of responsibility. Their jobs require that their respective divisions actually accomplish something! Using a stagecoach analogy; they are the horses that pull the coach ... I am the coachman who chooses the direction in which they travel. I do proportionately little, but then, I don't work for hay. However, if the stagecoach doesn't reach the appropriate destination, can I blame the horses?

How many of us have held jobs where we were rewarded for our failures? Let's have a show of hands ... just one hand! (Okay Barack, you can put your hand down now.) These "Golden Parachutes" are ridiculous. (Basically, a A golden parachute is a contractual agreement between a company and an employee (usually an upper executive) specifying that the employee will receive certain significant benefits if employment is terminated. Sometimes, certain conditions, typically a change in company ownership, must be met, but often the cause of termination is unspecified. These benefits may include severance pay, cash bonuses, stock options, or other benefits. They are designed to reduce negative incentives should the company change hands, not to protect some corporate Phoenix who burns his company nest! There should be federal regulations allowing corporations or receivers to negate a Golden Parachute clause when the company fails due to the action/inaction of any, several, or all executive officers. If XYZ Financial Management Group can't file criminal charges against me, and/or my subordinates, they should at least be able to refuse any further compensation. I have destroyed their company through my own mismanagement/non- management of available resources!

But, that's just the way I see things ... am I wrong?

2,347 THINGS THAT REALLY CHEESE ME OFF!

Well, this will be a start, anyway. I may not live long enough to list all the things that cheese me off - I'm doubtful that Methuselah lived that long!

1. Outsourcing American Jobs - There was a song, popular in the late 1950's-early 1960's, called "Love Makes The World Go 'Round", and the title was spot-on. Love is what makes the world go 'round! However, it's not the kind of love the song was touting. It's not spiritual love ... or compassionate love ... or brotherly love. What makes the world go 'round is greed ... the love of MONEY and/or POWER! And, they who have it wish to keep it ... no, not just keep it ... amass more of it! Those individuals and corporate entities are as much "junkies" as are those who are shooting, snorting, huffing and otherwise absorbing toxic chemicals into their bodies. The more they get, the more they require. Do they care about the American worker? No. What they do care about is expanding their control of ever-increasing sums of their "drug of choice" - money or power. Now you should familiarize yourself with the term R.O.I. (also ROI) - Return On Investment. ROI is what allows these junkies to feed their acquisition habit, and the greater the ROI the more they can feed from it. How do they get the ROI up? By lowering production costs, and/or increasing the price of the end-product. A manufacturer can only raise the price so far before their product becomes less desirable to the greatest number of customers, and the market begins to shrink, which is counterproductive. So, reducing production costs is the obvious way to increase profit margins. This is most easily accomplished by eliminating union (or similar relatively high-paying) jobs at the production facility, and subbing them out to some 3rd world country - where anybody making $1 per hour is considered to be in the upper-middle class! What's worse, is that our government gives those who ship American jobs overseas tax incentives to do so! What SHOULD our government be doing for the American people?
a. Eliminate all tax incentives for jobs outsourced overseas.
b. For each job outsourced to another country, the corporation should be required to pay full unemployment benefits for one American worker.
c. All products manufactured by an American company outside the United States of America, must either be subject to a 100% tax to allow importation, or be for consumption solely outside the borders of the 50 United States.

2. Immigration Issues - Our government shouldn't even be considering another amnesty program for illegal aliens! They have already proven their total disregard for our laws and our sovereignty, by not complying with the established procedures for legal entry into the USA. They are therefore by definition, criminals. No excuse is acceptable. If they are qualified political refugees, there are already procedures in-place to effect their rapid admittance into the USA. "I want a better paying job.", is not an acceptable reason to be here without the proper documentation! Let their country create that "better paying job". It is not incumbent upon the citizens of the United States to supply the entire world with better paying jobs!

What SHOULD our government be doing about illegal immigration and border control?
a. First, be honest about the designation of ILLEGAL ALIENS. They are no more "undocumented workers", than looters are "unreceipted shoppers", or than bank robbers are simply making "unestablished account withdrawals"! Call a spade a spade ... it's not a "manually operated personal excavation device". If they were not born in this country, they are aliens - and, if they are here in violation of our laws, they are ILLEGAL ALIENS. What's so difficult to understand about that?
b. Round them up and send them all back to where they came from. The bleeding heart, liberal left in this country cries, "That's too expensive. We can't afford it!" We seem to have been able to "afford" the millions of dollars per day it takes to keep them in welfare and health benefits. One months savings in benefits could send 50% of them back where they came from, and in 60 days our entire problem would be solved ... IF we followed up with "c.", below.
c. Secure our borders - both southern and northern. Although the vast majority of illegal entries - of which we are aware - come from Mexico, a significant number have been slipping over our northern border as well. Augment the Border Patrol with National Guard personnel. That's what the "National Guard" is supposed to be doing - guarding the nation. Isn't it odd that the actual name of the organization states that so clearly? And, they can do that best along our borders.
d. Those who are still interested in acquiring US citizenship, may take a number and move to the back of the line. When your background investigation has been completed, and your number is called, you may then enter the United States of America, take a citizenship test - in ENGLISH - and pick up your Green Card, just like all the other people outside the USA who wish to live inside the USA. You get no special privileges for having violated our sovereignty and breaking our laws.

3. Press "1" for English - This is the United States of America! English is our de facto National language, whether Congress wants to recognize it as such or not. What number do I press for Amharic, Swahili, Thai, Mandarin Chinese or Esperanto? If they can't speak English, why are they using a telephone in the United States to call an American business? And, what about all the other world languages? Are they so insignificant that they don't rate a button to press?
By the time we finished listening to all the button pushing options, we'd have forgotten who we were calling and what we were calling them about! Political correctness has no practical place in the real, work-a-day world.

What should be done about it? We could boycott all businesses that offer language options ... but, that would mean we would conduct business with almost nobody, which would leave us very needy. So, I offer the following alternatives:
a. Press the * button at the voice prompt. This usually connects you with an operator, which gives you the opportunity to complain to somebody about having to press 1 to speak English in the USA.
b. Visit, write, email or telephone your elected representatives, and demand that they support English as the official language of the United States of America.
c. Modify the current recorded message to something like, "If you do not speak English, please dial the appropriate code for your country of origin, followed by any numbers you might wish to press. Your call will eventually be answered by a speaker of your native tongue." or perhaps, "If you wish to speak any language other than English, press 1, and then hold your breath until somebody answers. If you wish to function in our country, learn the language!" (I, personally, have been to more than a dozen, non-English speaking foreign countries, and have always tried to learn as much of their language as I could during the length of time I was there. People all over the world appreciate it when you show enough of an interest in their language and culture to make an attempt to learn it! It tells them that they count with you, and that you respect them enough to make the effort.)

4. Those Who Strive To Eliminate The American culture - The same culture which made us the most powerful, productive, and technologically advanced country in the world. There's an old saying ... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Well, it ain't broke ... yet. But, if the left-wing whiners are permitted to have their way, it will be before long! All one has to do is look around them to see the beginnings of the end.
a. Our public schools are teaching crap courses in 'alternative lifestyles', instead of conducting a reality education, and teaching hard-core, necessary life skills. History has become an elective course in many places, because it hasn't been re-written to reflect the way some people would like it to have happened. Our educational institutions have been converted over the years to indoctrination centers for the weak-willed masses, teaching our children what to think rather than how to think. Discipline has become non-existent in our schools, hence the attacks on both students and teachers by other students. Weapons carried into schools by students was unheard of 50 years ago, yet today they're getting through the doors with assault rifles! What's wrong with this picture? If you can't see it, then show the picture to Stevie Wonder - even a blind man can 'see' that our country is rapidly deteriorating.
b. Our legal system has imploded. Why doesn't our system work the way in which it was designed ... to protect the innocent and punish the guilty? Because those making our laws - our legislators - have made our laws Labyrinthine in order to protect their own interests. Once upon a time, our laws were relatively simple. If you were found guilty of crime "X" then you were sentenced to punishment "X" ... end of story. Today we have ten exceptions to each crime, and sixteen definitions for each word used to describe the particular crime. Our laws have become so complicated that the average person stands no chance of understanding them without acquiring the services of an attorney. "And why is that?", you ask. Because 90+% of our legislators - the rascals making our laws - are attorneys themselves. Liberal judges are now making law from the bench, rather than enforcing the laws that are on the books, and the liberal media are cheering them on. Justice for the victim has become secondary to the rights of the criminal! If one ever goes to court seeking "justice" he or she will leave the court in bitter disappointment. Courts no longer dispense justice, they dispense law - perhaps even dispensing a law that the presiding judge just then decided we needed, so he/she created it on-the-spot.

5. Those Who Feel They Need Special Entitlements - This is a group that really frosts my apples!
a. If you are a cab driver, your JOB is to pick up people with your cab, and deliver them to their desired destination. If you have an objection to doing that, perhaps you should find a different line of work ... like working at the local 7-11.
b. Wash your feet at home before you leave for that flight to Afdinkistaq ... don't expect the taxpayers to 'foot' the bill for a foot washing facility at the airport. If it's that important to you, put your foot in that sink ... or, better yet, wash your feet in one of those large, white, flushable ceramic bowls on the floor inside the restroom. That's why they call them "restrooms" instead of bathrooms ... you aren't supposed to bathe in there, you morons! If this is inconvenient for you, tough! You can avoid that little inconvenience by not traveling with human beings.
c. You don't deserve a driver's license unless there is a recognizable picture on it. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say you have the right to a driver's license. Operating a motor vehicle on our roads, streets and highways is a privilege, not a right. A picture of a pair of eyes peering out from inside a burkah is not proper identification, morons! If it was, anybody should be able to have their driver's license picture taken with a bandana covering their chin, mouth and nose, wearing dark glasses, and a ball cap ... or wearing clown makeup. If you don't like following the same rules that everybody else must follow, return to the sand pit you came from!

6. Other Assorted Whiners -
a. Neither I, nor any of my ancestors for whom I can account, presently owns, or has at any time owned, slaves. Your request for "reparations" for slavery is therefore denied. Suck it up, get an education, get a job, and then get on with your life! If you want reparations, take that matter up with your African brothers who sold your ancestors into slavery.
b. PETA - as far as I'm concerned, that acronym stands for People Eating Tasty Animals! That's why human beings are at the top of the food chain, you idiots! I don't believe in, or in any way support the mistreatment of animals ... even those specifically raised with the intent to eventually become food. All creatures should meet as instantaneous and pain-free a demise as we can possibly provide for them. But Bubba, we eat that which does not eat us first, and nowhere does it say that man shall not eat meat. There are some religious taboos about what kinds of meat we should not eat, but there are no laws prohibiting eating anything.
c. ACLU - the American Communist Lawyers Union. You people should be run out of the country, period. Your organization was founded by Roger Baldwin, a card-carrying communist whose avowed purpose was to destroy our way of life ... "We are for SOCIALISM, disarmament, and ultimately for abolishing the state itself. We seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the SOLE CONTROL of those who produce wealth. COMMUNISM is the goal." Another Baldwin quote goes, “Do steer away from making it look like a Socialist enterprise…We want also to look like patriots in everything we do. We want to get a good lot of flags, talk a good deal about the Constitution and what our forefathers wanted to make of this country, and to show that we are really the folks that really stand for the spirit of our institutions.” (Roger Baldwin’s advice in 1917 to Louis Lochner of the socialist People’s Council in Minnesota.) Don't try to convince ME that the ACLU is the least bit interested in American Civil Liberties ... unless it's in destroying those civil liberties.

7. The AARP - for providing $5,000,000 as a financial gift to the above ACLU. Therefore, I will never be a member of that organization!
