Come November 2nd, WE have THE HAMMER!!

This song was written by a 26 year old middle school football coach in Tennessee. He was terminated by the principal for alleged "political incorrectness" after writing this song and sending out on an e-mail list which included students and parents. Some think an apology and suspension would seem more appropriate. Personally, I think it is a First Amendment issue! He should be reinstated with all back pay, and the principal that fired him should be censured by the school board. Hopefully the parents will rally around this young teacher and get him his job back. In the meantime he is becoming famous thanks to the internet. Don't be surprised if the Tea Party groups start using this song at their meetings.

The First Amendment seems to protect only the lefties that have permeated our educational system. Why does it not protect everybody? If Ward Churchill, who not only lied about his credentials, but plagiarized much of "his" academic work, can speak out against conservative values with impunity, why can't this man speak out against what he sees as the fantasies and lies of the current administration?

THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING ROTTEN IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA!
Let's rid ourselves of the stench of government
directed socialism this November 2nd!

First Amendment Assaulted At Alaska State Fair!

Jackbooted Rent-A-Thug Security morons assault more than simply one man at the Alaska State Fair in August 2010... they assaulted the United States Constitution. The individual in question was - apparently peacefully - exercising his Constitutional right under Amendment I. The following YouTube video shows how respected that right is by those in positions of "authority"... INCLUDING one Alaska State Trooper. Many voices were raised in objection to the way "Security" handled this matter. Fewer than a handful took any physical action in support of this man's right, and even then it was more of a whimper than a bang.

THIS NEEDS TO BE SEEN - IF IT CAN HAPPEN TO ONE, IT CAN HAPPEN TO ALL! Today your neighbor, tomorrow your friend. Your day will eventually come. The longer we stand in silence, the more power is gained by those who pose this great threat to our freedoms... and to our Constitutional Republic.

US seeks to seize 4 mosques, tower linked to Iran

That is how the AP headline reads. The story opens with - "NEW YORK – In what could be one of the biggest counterterrorism seizures in U.S. history, federal prosecutors sought to take over four U.S. mosques and a New York City skyscraper owned by a Muslim organization suspected of being controlled by the Iranian government."

There are some Constitutional concerns about that government action - specifically 1st Amendment "freedom of religion" issues. There may also be some 4th Amendment questions to be answered. If the government is successful in its suit to seize these "terrorist" assets, including the mosques, would they be in violation of the 1st Amendment protection of "freedom of religion"?

Not being a lawyer of any kind, much less a Constitutional law expert, my layman's opinion is no, they would not. They will not have banned the religion, they will only have removed the availability certain specific, questionable, places of worship. The practice of the Muslim religion can still go on... just not in those particular mosques.

Obama's 4 Ds - Disagreement, Disregard, Disenfranchisement, and Disinformation

It should have come to our attention by now that your "President" does not appreciate having his desires and actions questioned, for He is "The One". Oh, yeah ... he's The One, alright. He's the one whose only proven organizational ability is that of "Community Organizer", a "job" in which his primary function was to teach people how to be loud, boisterous, and civilly disobedient. He also trained them in how to be disruptive to those conducting the business of government, and how to refuse to take "NO" for an answer.

Now, when truly disappointed, frustrated and angry citizens attend "Town Hall Meetings" and demonstrate that disappointment, frustration and anger to their elected representatives, through their general demeanor and passionate, heart-felt outbursts Obama and his left-wing allies cry "foul". The Democraps seem to believe that when the left does these same things, it's just honest emotion, and therefore fine with them. But... when anybody who can see through the smoke, mirrors and misdirection of "The One" has the audacity to actually verbalize that belief, they are immediately demonized as "puppets of the wealthy Republicans", "unruly mobs", "racists" and "tea-party loons" by the left. (By the way, the attendees at the nationwide "tea parties" this past April 15th were an amalgam of Americans who are unhappy with the direction Obama and his cronies are taking this country. There were people of every stripe and color - Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, Constitutionalists, and yes... even a few liberals and intelligent Democrats. (We even had some neo-Nazi skinheads - whom we peaceably frustrated - show up at our tea party in Grants Pass Oregon. Their demeanor wasn't the least bit belligerent, but we felt their message wasn't an appropriate one for our rally.) All cultures and colors were represented - whites, blacks, native Americans, Mexicans, and Asians in attendance. There were natural-born citizens and naturalized citizens. There were Christians. Jews, Muslims, Hindus, some of the Orthodoxies (Greek, Russian, etc.), and atheists and agnostics there also. I saw no indication of any significant "wealth" there - no Armani suits, Rolls-Royce automobiles, or Gucci handbags - 99% of the attendees were quite casual in their manner of dress. Among the crowd of about 1,000, there may have been 10 people wearing something other than jeans, tennis shoes/flip-flops or boots, and a t-shirt or pullover. I saw one tie, and two sport coats. These were everyday, working-class folks who were demonstrating their concern about the direction (or is it misdirection?) our government is taking. The left wishes to denigrate those people who make up the backbone of America, and classify them as the "lunatic fringe". After all, one would have to be a lunatic to be in opposition of anything The One wanted done!

"We the People" are tired of being ignored by our elected officials! We are tired of ever-expanding, tax and spend government. We are disgusted with a government which bails out private corporations - to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars - using taxpayer money to do so. We are sick of ridiculous health care proposals that would euthanize, or at the least, withhold necessary life-saving treatment from the elderly, the disabled, and the chronically ill. We are angered by a government that insinuates itself further into our privates lives, and that ignores our Constitution in order to foist bogus, unnecessary, and expensive social programs upon us. We are confused and frustrated by a government that believes it can borrow - or print - money to recover from a financial crisis, all the while instituting more of the aforementioned "expensive social programs". (We spend our way into bankruptcy, not out of it!)

We are no longer the beneficiaries of government by the people... we have now become the victims of government of the people by the elitist, Marxist-socialist rich. Over 40% of our elected officials are multi-millionaires, and the remainder are just extremely "well-off". A few of those elected "representatives" brought their wealth with them into the office, the others made their wealth from within the office... I can't help but wonder how they made all that money from a job with a starting pay of $174,000 per annum? If they banked their entire pay - without spending so much as a penny of it - for 5.75 years they would just barely qualify as a millionaire. We have the best government that corporate and special interest money can buy!

As far as dissatisfied citizens "forming organized, orchestrated, and choreographed unruly mobs" is concerned... they ain't seen nothin' yet! These town Hall Meetings have, for the most-part, been held in (suprise) town halls. A town hall is generally a small, cramped venue with a capacity of perhaps 200 people in a large town hall. To hold these public meetings in a larger auditorium would allow too many people to attend, thereby taking too much of our elected representatives precious time, and perhaps it would also insure that he or she got an earful of what their constituents actually wanted! That could be disconcerting if the people wanted something that conflicted with what corporate America, the Special Interest groups, PACs and good paying lobbyists wanted. They choose the path of least resistance for themselves when it comes to hearing what people really think. If they want to see a MOB they should wait until 50,000 people march on Washington D.C. - which may happen in the near future.

I could be wrong about this, and your Congressional Representatives and Senators could actually care about you.

Student Wins Suit Against Anti-Creationist Teacher

I just heard on Fox News that a California student has won a lawsuit against one of his teachers for violating the students First Amendment rights. This is a court decision about which I have mixed feelings.

I am a great believer in freedom of speech, thought, and expression, as the founders of our nation obviously were - that's why they made it the First Amendment! I don't know that there's anything in the First Amendment that could be interpreted to mean that one would never have to hear opinions with which they disagreed. However, as an individual, the teacher supposedly has the same First Amendment protections guaranteeing freedom of speech, thought, and expression.

In this case though, the teacher, in his official work capacity, is an authority figure representing the school district in which he teaches. The school district generally establishes curricula, and they normally require lesson plans to reflect those educational goals. I don't believe that our primary and secondary educational institutions are the proper venue for teachers to express their personal opinions, unless they preface their remarks with a statement similar to, "This is my personal opinion, and...", and then encourage discussion during and/or after they present their point of view. They must be ready to logically defend their position without ridiculing their students opinions.

The purpose of a lesson plan is to ensure, as best we can, that information is imparted to the student in a consistent manner within the state educational system. Without strict guidelines, the learning (or indoctrination) process would be even more chaotic than it is currently! The expression of the authority figure's (the teacher) personal viewpoint, without inviting ridicule-free discussion, is where the unauthorized indoctrination takes place (as opposed to the officially sanctioned indoctrination).

I don't believe in bashing anybody's Judeo-Christian belief system, as it has a history of over 2,000 years of world wide support. And, the last place to attack any individual's belief system - or even their choice not to believe - is in the public school classrooms! Our tax dollars are ostensibly spent for education, not indoctrination!

On the other hand, whose freedom of speech is guaranteed more... the student or the teacher? As I see things, neither is more guaranteed or more protected under the First Amendment, but one is more appropriate. So, my question to those few intrepids who actually read my blog is this, "Which one, and why?" Think about it.

You never know, I could be entirely wrong about this... and Obama could ocassionally publicly acknowledge that equal part of him which is white. The odds of either of these being realistic possibilities are about the same.................

Separation of Church and State - What Is SO HARD To Understand?

The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States says (in part), "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . .". There is absolutely no other reference in the Constitution to the so-called edict requiring separation of church and state. Simply that Congress will not establish a [understood as national] religion, nor will they interfere with the individual or organized group practice of religion. That's it. Period! End of discussion.

How do we get so bogged down in the issue of SOCAS? Notice the placement of this Amendment ... 1st! Not 6th, or 14th or 21st ... FIRST! That should tell us how much importance our founding fathers put upon this principle. It was the most important of all the considerations in the development of an embryonic Democratic Republic. The bottom line is that the Constitution restricts the government from meddling in the affairs of any church, supposedly protecting religious institutions from being dictated to by outside forces. Yet the government does so incessantly!

Where has the 'government of the people, for the people, and by the people' encroached upon our Constitution? Everything from -
  1. 1. the removal of prayer (which was always voluntary during my years in school) in the public schools, to
  2. 2. the display of manger scenes on public property at Christmas, to
  3. 3. allowing suit for the removal of the words "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance (a person could just not say them if they didn't believe in God),
  4. 4. the removal of the Ten Commandments and the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court from that courthouse, and, most recently,
  5. 5. upset over the state of South Carolina offering a "Christian" license plate to S.C. motorists
Perhaps I can understand the rationale behind 1. (above), because if we did one, we should, in fairness, do them all. (The atheists prayer would be undoubtedly the shortest.) From daily opening prayers we could then adjourn directly to the cafeteria for lunch. (Hopefully, nobody would want to have a public blessing over their lunches, or the school day would be over by the time that was finished. In such a case it would be better to have something non-specific - and practical - like: "Dear Lord, please let me survive this tainted meal.")

There is something else provided for in our Constitution, it is called "States rights." Here are the items I personally think should be States Rights issues:
  • 2. (above) - Is there something I fail to comprehend about the term "public property"? Is that not property that is either owned by or, at least open to the PUBLIC? And, are not church members of any persuasion also members of the PUBLIC? The term 'public' is all-inclusive, thereby encompassing even the dreaded and feared "Christians". You can display the Crescent of Islam, and the Menorah and Star of David of Judaism, and probably the symbols of Taoists, Hindus, Rastafarian's, Shakers, Quakers, Mennonites, Rosacrucians, Russian Orthodoxy, and Dukhobors. But, God help you if you should show any Christian symbols during the recurring annual period known as ... oh, yeah - CHRISTMAS!
  • 3. (above) - DUH! If you don't understand that one, get somebody who speaks English to read it to you.
  • 4. (above) - The architrave above the main west entrance to the Supreme Court of the United States bears the inscription "EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER THE LAW" (some obviously more 'equal' than others), and both the Supreme Court and the United States Congress open each session with prayers! Am I the only one having a problem with their demonstrated logic (or lack thereof) here?
  • 5. (above) - According to the Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina they offer well over 100 group-specific license plates, and will make specific plates available to any group or organization of appropriate size that requests them through the proper channels. Where is the problem there? If you don't want one, don't BUY one! They aren't FREE. You have to pay money and select the one you want! Sheeeesh ... dumb-ass.
States Rights, as well as individual rights, are slowly being eroded thanks to the efforts of idiots like Michael Newdow (3. above), who apparently sees himself as the 21st century reincarnation of atheist Madlyn Murray O'Hair (also O'Hare), and the conspiratorial, ultra left-wing ACLU (which was founded by a communist whose avowed purpose was to overthrow the government of the United States).

How can we make something so simply written, in our own native language, so complicated? It's called an agenda, and there are a lot of people with multiple agendas - each bringing us one step closer to the elimination of our Democratic Republic.
