The Arrogance of Our Elected Officials - It Must Be Contagious!

In all probability the epidemic of arrogance begins in the White House and trickles down from there, infecting Congressional and the Senatorial "representatives" of the Democratic Party. Our most recent exposure to this virus was recently presented by Senator Charles E. "UpChuck" Schumer, D-NY, who made an ass of himself on a recent airline flight. Little Chucky decided he didn't need to follow the rules against using cell phones on aircraft prior to reaching altitude, and argued with the flight attendant who asked him to end his conversation and turn his cell phone off. After being told the flight would not leave the ground until he complied, he did so, telling his seat-mate (another Senator from NY) that the flight attendant was a "bitch". YOU'RE A REAL CLASS ACT, UPCHUCK!

Then we have yesterday's incident where twenty senators are demanding an investigation into reports the Obama administration threatened to close Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska if that state's Democratic senator, Ben Nelson, didn't join other Democrats in voting for health-care reform. How's THAT for political leverage? For those of you who may not understand the importance of Offutt AFB to our national security, Offutt is the home of the Strategic Air Command (now just the "Strategic Command"), the headquarters for ALL our heavy bombers! Well, as of this afternoon, it appears that Sen. Nelson still has a pair.
According to Newsmax.com, "Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson — the moderate Democrat whose opposition is holding up the Senate's health care bill — says new language on abortion doesn't satisfy his concerns.

Nelson told KLIN radio in Lincoln, Nebraska, Thursday that an attempt at compromise doesn't get to the fundamental issue of barring federal funding for abortions.

Nelson says without further changes the compromise isn't sufficient.

Catholic and anti-abortion groups have also weighed in against the new language, which attempts to separate public from private funding of abortion.

Democrats are wooing Nelson in order to get the 60 votes needed to pass a sweeping health care bill by Christmas.

But Nelson said abortion wasn't his only concern and he didn't see how the Christmas deadline could be met."

GOOD ON YA, BEN!! It's nice to know that somebody on the left side of the aisle isn't a knee-jerk reactionary in support of just any crap that his President and party throw at the people of this country. Obama must really be getting desperate to threaten our National security - not to mention the immediate unemployment of 10,000 Nebraskans if Offutt were to be closed.

Next there's the U.N. "Small Arms Control Treaty". In fact, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton just announced in mid-November the Obama Administration would be working hand in glove with the UN to pass a new “Small Arms Treaty.”

Disguised as legislation to help in the fight against “terrorism,” “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates,” the UN Small Arms Treaty is nothing more than a massive, GLOBAL gun control scheme. Of course, we all know that "terrorists, insurgents, and international crime syndicates" are law-abiding folks who legally buy and register their weapons... don't we?
Ultimately, the UN’s Small Arms Treaty is designed to register, ban and CONFISCATE firearms owned by private citizens like YOU. And by so doing, the left hopes to circumvent our 2nd Amendment rights under the guise of an "international treaty". Does al Qaeda pay attention to UN mandates? Does Iran? Does North Korea? Does ANYBODY? NO!

So far, the gun-grabbers have successfully kept the exact wording of their new scheme under wraps.

As for Obama's "transparent administration", it's about as transparent as Mount McKinley. Closed door meetings - some totally closed door, others just closed to Republicans - with bans on the press and other media show us exactly how "transparent" the current administration isn't.

Now Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are petitioning the government purse string holders (Congress) for a budget boost of $400,000,000,000 each by year end. That's a total of $800 BILLION that we're supposed to get from WHERE? Well, we'll just borrow it from our good buddies in Communist China. We are bleeding GREEN folks! What little money "Joe Average" may have in the bank won't be worth a tinker's dam by the time the current administration is done mortgaging our country to the rest of the world!The reason for the year-end panic is that Fannie and Freddie don't want to take the chance that the upcoming election year will change the makeup of the Congress to the point that fiscal conservatives may - once again - take control of our nation's checking account.

Oh, and while we're on the subject... the FDIC is also asking for billions of dollars. They apparently expect that there will be many more bank failures during the coming election year, but nobody is telling us that! More "transparency"...

So far the only "jobs" (to speak of) that have been created by Obama's minions are government jobs and government training for government jobs. Obama's "jobs" plan is one of increasing the size of the government Behemoth, thereby increasing citizen dependence upon the government for their livelihood and all things related thereto! There's less resistance to his socialist agenda that way.

Cap and Trade - We have all heard the term, but we may not all understand the practical aspects of it. If "cap and trade" is passed, the end result - admitted to by Obama - is skyrocketing energy costs! Now that's something we really need, when many of us who are retired can barely afford heating costs in the winter already. Doubling our energy costs would certainly be one way to reduce the population - the elderly would be freezing to death during the winters. Why do we need "cap and trade" anyway... when we can reduce our energy costs by tapping into existing resources on U.S. soil? The "Bakken Formation" in North Dakota is estimated to contain BILLIONS of barrels of sweet crude oil! The following is an excerpt from a paper entitled "Bakken Formation Reserve Estimates", by Julie LeFever and Lynn Helms (emphases added):

"A landmark paper by Dow and a companion paper by Williams (1974) recognized the Bakken as
a tremendous source for the oil produced in the Williston Basin. These papers suggested that the Bakken was capable of generating 10 billion barrels of oil (BBbls). Webster (1982, 1984) as part of a Master’s Thesis at the University of North Dakota further sampled and analyzed the Bakken and calculated hydrocarbon generation capacities to be about 92 BBbls. This data was updated by Schmoker and Hester (1983) who estimated that the Bakken was capable of generating 132 BBbls of oil in North Dakota and Montana. Price (unpublished) used a more complete database and estimated that the Bakken was capable of generating between 271 and 503 BBbls of oil with an average of 413 BBbls."

Why have we not heard about this from the "lamestream media"? Another claim is that we have more untapped oil resources in the northwestern United States than exists in ALL of the OPEC nations combined! WHY ARE WE NOT DRILLING?? Apparently somebody wants us to be dependent upon high-priced foreign oil imports... I wonder who that could be?

And why were no Republicans, or even moderate Democrats, invited to the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference? Nazi Pelosi took herself and 20 other hardcore, party-line quoting Dems on that so-called "working/job creating" trip.

So much for the "transparent Obama administration". You can't see into it for all the smoke and mirrors!

Understand This - LIFE IS NOT REQUIRED TO BE FAIR! Therefore It Seldom Is...

There's continual whining amongst the liberal left-wing, socialist-"progressives". If they have no real cause to champion, they will create one out of thin air, using smoke, mirrors and BS to fill in the blanks. The most recent of their creations is the "climate crisis" based upon a particularly weak theory of "global warming". There are physical limitations to virtually all things, and there are natural cycles in which weather phenomena occur.

The growth of an iceberg can continue only so long before a chunk of it breaks off due to erosion, weight, and stress, thereby forming a second iceberg. We assume that the larger piece is the original iceberg, and we blame the separation upon "global warming".

At the same time we have other icebergs that are still increasing in size, and the scientific community blames that phenomena upon what? Nothing? Just because you can find a large group of scientists - or any other group - willing to agree upon something doesn't necessarily make it a "fact". There have been "doomsayers" since the beginning of recorded history, and it was probably a popular practice long before the recording of history began. And recently evidence has become available that shows there has been manipulation of the facts by the "global warming" gang, which creates bogus statistics and gives a highly unreliable picture of what is actually going on. There's an old saying in statistical analysis that goes like this... "Figures can lie, and liars can figure". Thus has the greatest scam in the history of the world been foisted upon the inhabitants of this planet.

A substantially larger number of scientists are in agreement that we are undergoing global cooling, than there are supporting the global warming theory. Do sheer numbers make one theory more correct than the other? Of course not. How then does the "global warming" theory gain acceptance over the opposing theory? It has been "sold" to world leaders through a network of scientists with a political agenda.

A "climate crisis" blamed upon mankind in general, but with an emphasis upon successful nations - such as the USA - gives the Europeans and other socialist governments the tools they need to leverage their beloved "redistribution of wealth" out of other sovereign entities via the United Nations-sponsored Climate Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark this month. They hope to accomplish this by euphemistically referring to that redistribution of wealth as "global reparations" or "here's an envy tax from those nations which are less successful than you - pay up or risk being labeled an international Scrooge." These groups, which include several large international networks, claim that rich countries should acknowledge their "historical responsibility" and the “ecological and climate debts” they owe to developing countries. “Deep, drastic cuts in greenhouse gas emissions, through domestic measures is part of reparations,” the statement said. “They took much more than their fair share of atmospheric space, and in the process denied the people of developing countries – the people of the South – their rightful share. They must give it back.”

EXCUSE ME?? What "fair share of atmospheric space" did we consume, and who determined and allocated such "atmospheric space" to us? If I were the President of the United States my response to that insanity would be a less-than-diplomatic "GFY!" When were these constraints upon "atmospheric space" created... and by whom? Did anybody see that memo? I must have been out sick that day! I say that because I have been on this planet for over a half-century and, until very recently I had never heard the terms "global reparations" and "atmospheric space". Now I'm thinking, "the 'global reparations' concept is undoubtedly an after the fact idea, created by those who have failed to apply themselves to their endeavors in a successful manner, and their left-wing socialist sympathizers." I'm sorry, but we don't owe anybody Jack (except China... from whom our "leader" continues to borrow money, building our National Debt to unsustainable levels and eroding the value of the U.S. dollar.)! How would the rest of the world like it if we demanded they repay their war debts to the USA? With accrued interest over the past 8/38/56/64/95 years, those amounts would probably pay off our National Debt!

I may not have been raised on a ranch, but I do know the difference between roses in bloom and BS when I smell it! The Copenhagen Conference is nothing more than an international platform designed to perpetuate the myth of "global warming" under the auspices of the otherwise powerless United Nations. Those who participate in the Copenhagen Charade are severely untrustworthy!

Of course there is a chance I could be wrong about all of this - about the same chance as my being a myopic Mongolian dwarf albino aardvark wrangler.

Things Are Being Put into Place - VERY DISTURBING THINGS!

Some of the things that are now coming together are probably "just coincidence", but when viewed as a total package they present a very disturbing picture for Americans. The most recent of these is the adoption of a shoulder patch for American soldiers of the United States Northern Command's U.S. 5th Army.

You may be wondering how a soldier's shoulder insignia can be "disturbing". This may, in fact, be one of those coincidences I mentioned above, but...
1. The patch background shows continental North America. For those of you who may have forgotten your grade school geography, continental North America consists of Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Superimposed in the foreground of the patch is the U.S. eagle. The colors of the patch (and this may be where coincidence comes into play, since there are only so many colors in the spectrum) are orange and blue - the colors of the United Nations. The U.S. eagle covers the entire continent of North America. The subtle implication that one might glean from this is that the U.S. 5th Army - if not all of NorthCom - is expected to fall under the auspices of the United Nations. This, of course, would be in violation of the Constitution, the military Oath of Enlistment, and all that is right! Let's wait and see, shall we?
2. The charter of NorthCom is to provide "domestic protection". That sounds fairly innocuous if you don't question the phrase. Protecting our people is a good thing, right? But, protecting the government from its people is not a good thing. A government in fear of its people must have some justification for that fear, such as defying the desires of those people. Look at the laundry list of policies our government is trying to force upon "We the People" when we have indicated that we do not wish to have those policies made into laws:
a. Legalizing all illegal immigrants currently in our country. On top of that, allowing "chain migration" of their extended family after they are legalized! UNSUSTAINABLE
b. Government controlled health care, that "We the People" do not want, with fines and prison sentences given to those who choose to opt out. UNSUSTAINABLE
c. "Special Protections" under the law for certain activist groups, which now includes homosexuals and pedophiles. UNCONSTITUTIONAL
d. Indecisiveness from the "Commander in Chief" in the pursuit of the terrorists in Afghanistan. Apparently Obama thinks he can vote "present" from the White House just as cavalierly as he did in the Senate without being questioned. Field commanders told him what they needed to succeed, and approximately two months later, he gave them half of that personnel requirement. UNSUSTAINABLE AND UNCONSCIONABLE - at the unnecessary cost of many more American lives!
e. "Same sex marriage" - that should happen when the partners of a same sex relationship can procreate within that relationship. UNBELIEVABLE

The list goes on and on - government pork, government bailouts, government takeovers, government perks, government intrusion, etc. I perceive much of this to be government misdirection. Distractions designed to keep the concerns of Americans focused on the minutia - while the hidden agenda remains unnoticed.

3. The integration of the U.S. with Canada and Mexico, long deemed by many as little more than a fanciful "conspiracy theory," actually was an idea promoted by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and sold to President Bush (41) as a means of increasing commerce and business interest throughout North America. In 1987 the US and Canada signed the Canada-US Free Trade Agreement (FTA), ostensibly to stimulate commerce between the two sovereign nations. Feeling left out, Mexico pressed for a similar arrangement, and in 1994 the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which superseded the Canada-US treaty, was signed by representatives of the three parties concerned.Lurking in the wings is yet another "Free Trade Agreement". The United States is negotiating a bilateral and multilateral free trade agreement called the "Free Trade Agreement of the Americas (FTAA) which will include all nations of the western hemisphere - all of North America, all of Central America, and all of South America. When completed, this will make unification of the western hemisphere almost identical to that of the European Union (EU). How far behind can a single currency be - especially considering the current global financial conditions? Chip-chip-chip... but let's wait and see, okay? Personal freedom and national sovereignty aren't that important anyway, are they? The U.N. will take good care of us...

5. A Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) Task Force on the Future of North America issued an executive summary entitled "creating a North American Community" on March 14, 2005 just days prior to the March 23, 2005, trilateral summit at Waco, Texas, in which President George W. Bush, then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin and then-Mexican President Vicente Fox declared the SPP on their own authority, without any approval from the U.S. Congress! (Be aware that the CFR is a non-governmental organization [NGO] which is composed of INTERNATIONAL big money, INTERNATIONAL big corporations, INTERNATIONAL big media, and INTERNATIONAL politicians - and that the CFR wields great power in INTERNATIONAL politics)

4. The upcoming "U.N. Climate Control Conference" in Copenhagen Denmark from December 7th - Dec 18th 2009. It's really nothing more than a slightly revamped Kyoto Protocol on Climate Control - with the inclusion of a 2% Global Climate Debt upon industrialized nations as punishment for being successful (this type of insanity is a preview of what life would be like under the thumb of the United Nations). It is also suspected that this conference will provide Obama with the opportunity to surrender our personal freedoms, our national sovereignty and our Constitutional rights to what is essentially a One World government. (Personally, I am not in great fear that such an action will be taken... but, I also stand ready to join the nationwide reaction if such a reprehensible action is taken.
